R4DS

R4DS is a fantastic new accessory for the Nintendo DS. It allows you to play copies of your games from a single flash memory device, so you don't need to keep swapping cartridges around. It costs less than a single game.

On top of playing back-ups of your games, the R4DS also lets you download homemade applications to use on your DS. Some of the applications already in existence include mp3s players. That means you can switch between playing games and listening to music without the need to carry two devices around with you.

It gets better! You can also download software which lets you see you photo collection with your DS. You can take your DS to your friends' houses to show them your holiday photos.

You can also play some games which have been made to be distributed freely (not the same games you can buy in shops).

It's great to take your R4DS to out with you to play your full game collection games, new games that you've downloaded (legally), play music, look at your photos and go on the Internet, all without changing cartridge once.

Fake R4DS

There are a lot of fakes around which claim to be the R4DS but in reality they could damage your Nintendo DS if you plug them in. People have had their systems short circuit when plugging in replica a R4DS. To avoid buying a fake one, read the information in the link below.

R4DS and Piracy

Unfortunately some people have found ways to play games which they have not paid for with the R4DS. This sounds great for consumers, but ultimately it'll could cause the video game industry to slow down. That will mean less money can be spent on producing games, therefore less games and they will be of lower quality. The R4DS is a fantastic tool, but please don't damage the games industry by playing pirated games on it.

R4DS Price

The R4DS costs around just £10 (amazing value considering all you can do with it). However you do need a few extra things to play games with it. It requires a micro SD flash memory card. To put your downloads, music, videos and other files you need an adapter to connect your SD card to your computer. Altogether this costs around £30 (depending on the amount of memory your SD card, we recommend 4GB or more) there are ways to save money.

You can save money by buying it all together as a package. This costs around £25 (still less than a single DS game). To see a reliable, good value seller, have a look at this R4DS site.
